PHASE 1 OF 2
RESEARCH
Berlin is a city known for cheap rent and vacuous spaces. There are many coworking spaces that take advantage of the real estate and address the demand for flexible offices set by the burgeoning tech scene. To understand what services are expected at what price point in this market, we worked with Megan Fernandez, research consultant, to analyze 52 coworking spaces in the capital.
PHASE 2 OF 2
PLANNING
Derived from our research data, we calculated the optimal ratio of seats to members to room typologies to operate a high value coworking business in Berlin. With Georgina Gomez, a local Berlin architect, we drafted all the layouts for 75,000 SF of communal areas of OVG’s development.
